Imagine being transported to the Civil War era – it is not that far-fetched. When you arrive at the Adams County Civil War Days, you will leave your modern day car behind to board horse drawn wagons that will take you to a Civil War encampment. The boom of cannons, sharp military drills, and the sights and sounds of the 1860s will greet you as you arrive.

The historic John T. Wilson Homestead is proud to host the Adams County Civil War Days. It is only fitting that this event be held at the Wilson home. John T. Wilson recruited, funded, and formed up Company E of the 70^th Volunteer Ohio Infantry at this very location. Please visit our website for a printable program of activities.
