ADENA MANSION & GARDENS

Adena Mansion & Gardens was the 2000 acre estate of Thomas Worthington, sixth governor of the State of Ohio. His original home that has been restored today to look much like it did when the Worthington family lived there. The mansion includes much of the original Worthington family’s furniture and belongings. Visitors can walk through three terraces and enjoy a huge collection of flowers and vegetables and take in beautiful views that overlook the beautiful Scioto River Valley. The Museum and Education Center features interactive exhibits that give visitors a glimpse of life in Ohio during the early 1800’s that includes stories linked to the people of Adena.
