The Signstage Theatre was founded by one deaf actor and one hearing actor in 1975. Since then the theatre has established a sound reputation for bringing a new and colorful expression of theatre to the stage. The theatre combines American Sign Language with the imagery of mime and theatrical text to bring a unique form of art to the audience. Recently the Signstage team has been on tour with the act Beauty and the Beast which has been playing sold out crowds and been receiving excellent reviews.
