The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway is a non-profit all volunteer organization founded in 1972. Our purpose is the restoration and preservation of historic railway equipment for the education and entertainment of our members and the public in general.

Season begins first Saturday after April 15 and continues each Saturday and Sunday through first weekend of November. Santa Specials last weekend of November first three weekends of December. Trains prior to Memorial Day weekend depart 1:30pm. Regular season trains depart from the Nelsonville depot at 12:00n and 2:30pm, Santa Specials depart at 11:00am and 2:00pm, and North Pole Express departs 6:00pm.
