The Lithopolis Honeyfest is held in the Village of Lithopolis. Lithopolis is only 20 minutes SE of Columbus in the NW corner of Fairfield County. Celebrate National Honey Month at Ohio's only honey festival. Experience the science and art of apiculture (beekeeping), in a robust atmosphere of art, music, food, fun and people. With the involvement of honey bee trade associations, this event is seen as a component in preserving apiculture, not just in Ohio, but nationwide and globally.
Learn about beekeepers, beekeeping and honey. See live bee beard demonstrations, honey extracting, observational hives and sample different types of honey. Come hungry for delicious honey-made food and treat yourself to tastings in the Mead and Wine Garden. Browse the work by fine quality artists and craftspersons while listening to the sounds of R&B, Jazz, Funk, Swing, Folk and Gospel. Create kids crafts in the Busy Beehive, buy a winning entry from the Honey Cook-Off Sale and meet the American Honey Princess! Free parking and shuttle service.
