With a beautiful view
of Lake Erie from the Waterworks Park in Port Clinton, the Walleye
Festival is four days of great outdoor celebration to kick of the
beginning of summer. Port Clinton is known as the “Walleye Capital of the
World”
and
brings in those from all over seeking yellow perch and, of course,
walleye. With free entertainment including
a kid's fishing derby, a
city-wide garage sale, carnival rides, a Grand Parade, live concerts, a
5-k race and hundreds of street venders from around the nation the Walleye
Festival is one the Ohio’s largest outdoor celebrations. The free annual
festival is four days of fun on the picturesque Lake Erie shore.
