Bear’s Mill Spring Open House: Celebrate National Preservation Month at Bear’s Mill! Built in 1849 by Gabriel Baer and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975, Bear’s Mill is one of the few operating water-powered mills in Ohio today. The Friends of Bear’s Mill non-profit organization is holding a special Spring Open House the first weekend of May. Tour the four-story working antique, shop in the Mill Store & Gallery and make a donation to help keep the doors open and the wheels turning.
The Friends are dedicated to keeping the Bear’s Mill property open to the public by offering community oriented events including educational tours, nature walks, regional art exhibitions and unique shopping. May, National Preservation Month, is a wonderful time to support the unique historic landmark.
