Birch Tree Bookery is Marion’s only independent bookstore, founded in 2023 by Crystal and Justin Bessler. This is the place for the love of books, and they carry the latest bestsellers, a carefully curated collection of gently used books, and all the inspired bookish accessories you would expect—in addition to the treasures you won’t find elsewhere. A place for booklovers to gather, Birch Tree Bookery offers in-store events such as book clubs and author showcases. They also support educators and area schools with fundraising school book fairs.
