The Ohio Bird Sanctuary near Mansfield is an education and rehabilitation center for Ohio’s songbirds and birds of prey. It provides a safe haven for orphaned and injured birds from across the country. Visitors have the chance to encounter thirteen of Ohio’s birds of prey including the Bald eagle, the Barn Owl, and the Peregrine Falcon. One of the sanctuary’s popular attractions for visitors is the Songbird Aviary. This attraction showcases a huge range of various species of birds at one time. Visitors can feed mealworms to certain birds for .25/cup and get a hands-on experience with the birds. Ohio Bird Sanctuary teaches its public to be educated on the environment and encourages them to be stewards of their natural surroundings. The Sanctuary also offers eight scenic hiking trails on their 90 acres of forest and marsh near the Clearfork Reservoir and a butterfly garden.
