The Old West Festival in Williamsburg, Ohio: It’s the only event of its kind in Ohio, taking patrons back to Dodge City circa 1878. The permanent Old West town is fun and educational for the whole family. Period interpreters walk around the town greeting patrons and posing for photos. Kids can pan for gold, watch puppet shows and take a covered wagon ride. They can even get sworn in as deputies for the day. There’s plenty for the “big kids” too in the form of saloon shows, period music, and even gun fight reenactments starting at High Noon!
