The “Ohio Day at the Range & Outdoor Adventure Fair” attracts hundreds of people to Camp Perry and the shore of Lake Erie each September for a day of accessible outdoor recreation awareness and exploration. This is a wonderful opportunity for people living with disabilities to experience hands-on many of the recreation opportunities available to them. It provides information and guidance on accessible Fishing, Golfing, Archery, Bocci, Indoor Range Shooting with the Civilian Marksmanship Program, and craft opportunities for all participants. There are also representatives from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the National Wildlife Refuge Association on hand to answer questions about accessible opportunities they provide.

Should you wish to make a weekend of it, they collaborate with area organizations to provide additional recreation opportunities after the event. They work with an area pool to host Scuba Diving lessons, East Harbor State Park to provide archery targets for additional shooting, a local charter boat to provide discounted fishing charters, and additional area attractions who will offer discounts for participants and guests attending the event. Additionally, to make this event even better, they are always looking for vendors from Ohio and surrounding states who offer accessible/inclusive outdoor opportunities or equipment. There is no fee to be a vendor.
