Steubenville Nutcracker Village & Advent Market features over 100 life-size, uniquely designed, and hand-painted Nutcrackers that will stand under twinkling arches in Fort Steuben Park for the holiday season. Ranging from traditional characters such as Scrooge, St. Nicholas, and the prince from the Nutcracker Ballet to depictions of Dr. Who, a Mad Scientist, and representatives of various schools, businesses, and organizations, the figures bring delight and wonderful photo opportunities for friends and families. An Advent Market featuring handmade and locally crafted wares, gifts, entertainment, and food is open on the four consecutive weekends after Thanksgiving. In addition, those weekends will offer hayrides, trips around town on the Holly Trolley, and an original musical comedy based on the Steubenville Nutcrackers and the music from Tchaikovsky’s classic Nutcracker Suite. The Christmas Wonderland inside the Visitor Center welcomes young and old to reminisce, write letters to Santa and browse the gift shop.
