This week’s adventure is compliments of the
Ashtabula County Visitors Bureau
in Austinburg, Ohio

Getting Ready to go out on an Adventure

First stop, coffee at
Harbor Perk Coffeehouse & Roasting Company

Stopping outside at checking out the shops on Bridge Street

Testing out the Kayaks at Harbor Yak!

Grabbing a quick bite at Briquettes Smokehouse in
Historic Ashtabula Harbor

Went to check out the Victorian Perambulator museum.
Did you know they have Queen Elizabeth’s baby carriage?

Drove through Doyle Road Covered Bridge.
Ashtabula county has 19 covered bridges,
including the longest and shortest in the United States.

Hung out on the farm for a bit. Sat on a 33 Tractor.
Agriculture is big in Ashtabula County.

Made my way to Geneva-on-the-Lake. Stopped at
Madsen, famous for their donuts! Grabbed a glazed for myself

Geneva-on-the-Lake was Ohio’s first summer resort.
It’ss celebrating its 150th birthday this year.

Went to Pucker Up Candy Shoppe for some candy!
They have such a large selection of all things sweet.

When at Geneva-on-the-Lake, or GOTL as the locals call it,
you must stop at Eddie’s Grill.
They are famous for their burgers and foot-long Hot dog.

Went to the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake for early check in
and relaxed on the balcony for a bit.
The Lodge has beautiful views of Lake Erie.

The Lodge has paddle boats and a full zip lining course:
Lake Erie Canopy Tours

After the adrenline rush, I went to the Spa at the
Lakehouse Inn Resorts for a relaxing massage!

After such a packed, fun-filled day, It’s time to grab dinner.
I went to Sportsterz Bar & Grill at GOTL.
The menu is amazing. I decided to get a burger.

After dinner I headed out to some wineries.
Ashtabula County is also known as Ohio Wine Country.
Their wine region has over 30 wineries in it.
The most in the state of Ohio. Here I am at Kosicek Vineyard.
Here you can walk the vineyards, sit on an old style tractor,
and then relax with some wine. I tried their Petite Sirah.

After a long day, I made it back to my hotel room at the
Lodge at GOTL for a quiet, relaxing sleep.
I had such a great time visiting Ashtabula County.
