Woodland Lights offers a month-long festival of holiday lights, animated displays, and revolving activities and entertainment along a half-mile wooded path winding through a park. Whimsical, illuminated characters and critters prepare for the holidays and a panorama of lights reflect off the Woodland Lights pond. Every night includes costumed cartoon characters, kid-size amusement rides, revolving entertainment, bonfires, food trucks and other concessions. There’s also Grinch’s cave, his sleigh, the town square and his workshop where kids have the chance to contribute to the Tree of Goodwill.
Visits with Santa Claus take place in an historic log cabin before Christmas, followed by visits with the Grinch after Christmas. Weeknights feature a Kids Party in the Park with storytellers, giant games and free cookies. Weekend nights offer revolving performances by arts organizations and life-size, strolling puppets for interactive experiences. Carriage Rides offer a nostalgic tour that’s off the beaten path on weekend nights and also nightly December 18-30. Find details about other revolving activities by visiting the website listed above.
