Woodland Lights offers a month-long festival of holiday lights, animated displays, and revolving activities and entertainment along a half-mile wooded path winding through a park. Whimsical, illuminated characters and critters prepare for the holidays and a panorama of lights – including a new laser light show — reflect off the Woodland Lights pond. Every night leading up to Christmas includes visits with Santa Claus in a historic log cabin, costumed cartoon characters, kid-size amusement rides, live animals, the Grinch world display, bonfires and festival food.
A Kids Party in the Park takes place Monday-Thursday and revolving activities include live entertainment by arts organizations, carriage rides, and the Carillon Polar Express that offers kids the chance to hop on board for a ride through the park. Special nights include pet nights when dogs can walk the path with their owners, Star Wars Battlefront nights, and Free Friday Festival Flix when films are shown in a professional movie theater, located at the entrance to the path.
Find details about revolving activities and special nights by visiting the website listed above.
After the Festival: The path closes after December 23, then reopens December 26-30 as a quiet walk through sparkling lights, without the festival experience.
