Come be a part of history this year at the historic village of Zoar, Ohio. German Separatists founded the Village of Zoar in the Tuscarawas River Valley of Ohio.  In 1817 they left Germany and came to the United States seeking religious freedom.  Later they formed a communal society that lasted for 79 years and was one of the most successful communal societies in the United States. Today, many of the buildings the Separatists built still line the main street of the historic village. Ten of these buildings are operated as museums by the Zoar Community Association. For information about daytime tours, please call 330-874-2646 or visit the Zoar Store at 198 Main St., Zoar, OH 44697.
